Nikos comes from the beautiful island of Crete. He has over 40 years experience working in hotels, restaurants & cruise ships both in Greece & the UK. He is passionate about cooking authentic Greek food. There are no “watered down” versions available here! All food in the restaurant is freshly prepared & cooked to order by Nikos including all the dips, bread & desserts. He uses fresh, local ingredients and a lot of seasonal vegetables and salad items on the menu are from his own gardens! His other passion is baking his own bread which is always available at the restaurant. Greek & Cypriot beers also available (which is VERY hard to find in this area). They also organise regular Greek nights with live music & dancing.
When he gets a break from the kitchen, Niko enjoys walking around the restaurant & interacting with the patrons which creates a welcoming family atmosphere, as you would expect from any proper Greek business.
Nikos has become quite a celebrity in Dumfries & Galloway – he has featured in Dumfries & Galloway Life magazine and has taken part in cooking exhibitions for Food Town days and Flavours Fortnight.
