Greek restaurant Samos will open a location this spring in McHenry Row, the eatery’s third spot.
Similar to its Canton location, the Samos Greek Island Grill in Locust Point will be a fast-casual spinoff of Samos’ flagship location, which opened in Greektown in 1977. The eatery will serve a variety of wraps, salads and traditional Greek fare.
The new restaurant, owned by husband-and-wife team Michael and Valentina Georgalas, will employ about 25 people. Michael Georgalas’ father, Nicholas Georgalas, opened the original Samos restaurant.
Samos opened its second location at the Shops at Canton Crossing in 2013. The third location will open in the former Yogi Castle space at 1703 Whetstone Way. Yogi Castle closed at the end of last year.
