Christakis Greek Restaurant re-launches in Liverpool

Attended by the Lord Mayor of Liverpool, Councillor Roz Gladden and her family, the re-launch of Christakis Greek Restaurant was always going to be a grand affair, with an endless stream of traditional, mouth-watering Greek and Cypriot dishes and entertainment in the form of hip-shaking belly dancers, you get so much more than just a good meal at Christakis.

Christakis is very much a family run business as owner Christakis Georgiou and his sons, Haris and Reno run both the Smithdown and York Street tavern and work around the clock to provide a familiar, warm welcome and a great night out for all guests.

The stunning refurbishment has breathed new life in to, not only the restaurant itself but also the local community who have begun to rejuvenate the high street following months of disruptive road works.

Owner Christakis Georgiou said: “It’s just great to see more people coming through the door to eat and socialise together now the road works have been completed. There are more businesses opening again and we’re at the heart of a new, rejuvenated social scene, we can’t wait to welcome more customers to our restaurant.

Lady Mayoress of Liverpool and Chef, Michelle O’Dwyer has been a loyal customer of Christakis’ for a number of years and was delighted the launch was such a success, she said: “What I love about Christakis’ is that its such a great value night out, whatever budget you’re on, you’re guaranteed a fabulous meal, fresh, quality ingredients and a warm, family welcome, it feels like you’re on holiday with such a great atmosphere.
